URBN launched its 10000mAh Qi2 MagSafe Power Bank last month. Unlike standard magnetic power banks limited to 7.5W, the URBN Slate utilizes official Qi2 certification to deliver a full 15W wireless charging output. This even has a smart LED display that shows battery percentage and charging status. Is this good for the price? Let us dive into the review to find out.

Design and build

Starting with the design, the power bank has a small rectangular design with curved corners and a plastic body. The plastic body has a matte finish so it doesn’t attract fingerprints easily. There is urbn branding on the front, and you can see the smart LED display that shows an exact readout of the remaining battery percentage and the charging status.

On the opposite side, there is a charging area that has a strong magnet that attaches to Qi charging-supported phones tightly so they don’t slip out easily. You can also see the specs of the power bank listed along with the ‘Made in India’ text.
The power bank measures 105.6×69.42×16.50mm, which is slightly thicker than most 10000 mAh power banks, but the wireless charging and compact size make up for it. It weighs just 200 grams, which is normal. In addition to black color that we have, the power bank also comes in grey and blue colors.
There is a USB Type-C port on the side. You can also see the lanyard hole, which is useful when you want to attach the power bank to a bag easily during travel.

There is a Type-C port on the bottom. It has 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A (18W) input and 5V/3A, 9V/2.22A, 12V/1.67A (20W) input from both USB ports.

There is a battery indicator button on the right side that shows the battery status on the LED screen when pressed.
Performance

The 10000mAh power bank can wirelessly charge an iPhone and Android devices with wireless charging support. Magnetic Qi 2 charging is an added advantage that will charge the phone at up to 15W. If the phone doesn’t have magnetic charging, you can use the bundled Magtag Ring.

It offers a secure hold onto compatible smartphones, allowing you to commute, text, or multitask without the power bank detaching.

It charged the iPhone 16 Plus at a full 20W from the USB port. It supports both wired and wireless charging at a time, but it will not charge at full speed. The power bank lets you charge a compatible iPhone to 50% in approximately 45 minutes.

I also tried Pixel 10a and the Pixel 10 for wireless charging.

I also charged the Pixel 10a using USB Type-C. Power lost during voltage conversion is a common problem in power banks. Urbn doesn’t reveal the charging conversion rate for the power bank. We were able to charge the iPhone 16 Plus almost 2 times, so the conversion rate should be somewhere around 80%.
The power bank doesn’t get heated even after hours of usage with wired charging and heats mildly when using wireless charging, which is normal with wireless chargers. It takes about 3 hours for a full charge using an 18W fast charger. Similar to other power banks, this has protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, and overcharging, and it has intelligent thermal shutdown for overheating issues.
Pricing and availability
The URBN Slate 10,000mAh Qi2 MagTag Power Bank is priced at Rs. 2,499 and is currently available for purchase on Amazon India.
Conclusion
The URBN Slate 10,000mAh Qi2 MagTag Power Bank stands out as a highly capable and forward-looking charging accessory, especially for iPhone users looking to leverage the latest charging standards. At Rs. 2,499, it offers a compelling blend of speed, convenience, and modern features that are hard to find at this price point.
If you are looking for a reliable, fast, and future-proof magnetic power bank, the URBN Slate is an excellent value-for-money proposition.
While it is a bit chunkier than basic wired alternatives, it completely compensates for its size with genuine 15W Qi2 wireless speeds, 20W wired output, and the convenience of a precise LED display. For Apple and Android users wanting premium magnetic wireless charging without paying the steep premium, the URBN Slate is a top-tier, ‘Made in India’ choice.
