Portronics has launched the Mport Space, an 8-in-1 USB Type-C hub that integrates a built-in M.2 SSD slot with multiple connectivity ports. The hub supports NVMe and SATA SSDs in 2242, 2260, and 2280 sizes (SSD not included), allowing storage expansion without a separate enclosure.
The hub expands a single Type-C port into HDMI (4K at 30Hz), USB 3.0, SD and microSD card readers, a Type-C Power Delivery (PD) port, and a Type-C data port. It enables high-speed file transfers, access to media from cameras, drones, or other devices, and 100W USB-C PD pass-through charging for laptops while all peripherals are connected.
The Mport Space includes an SSD ON/OFF switch to prevent accidental disconnections and LED indicators for standby and read/write activity. Its aluminium body helps with heat dissipation, and the nylon braided cable ensures durability. The hub works plug-and-play with laptops, tablets, and other USB-C devices without requiring drivers.
