iQOO just introduced the iQOO 15 Ultra, the company’s latest flagship gaming phone in China, as it had promised.
Display
The phone packs a 6.85-inch 2K+ 144Hz 8T LTPO flat screen that uses Samsung’s M14 luminous material, and has 2160Hz full high-frequency dimming, 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, a 360Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, up to 2600 nits brightness in HBM mode, and up to 8000 nits peak brightness.
It has 2K LEAD OLED technology, offering lower power consumption, higher brightness, improved environmental friendliness, and a slimmer design and world’s first Pleasing Eye Protection 2.0, featuring non-polarized natural light display, hardware-level gaming eye protection, and the industry’s lowest screen brightness of 1 nit, said the company.
Performance and Gaming
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with optimizations by working with Qualcomm, and claims 4.51 million+ points on AnTuTu 11. The gaming chip Q3 offers true 2K gaming quality, 2K+144 FPS concurrent playback, and support for seven official games with native super-resolution and super-frame. The iQOO 15 Ultra supports up to 24GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.
The iQOO 15 Ultra has Ice Dome Cooling System with exclusively customized Ice Dome cooling fan with 59 blades and a diameter of 17x17mm. There is 8000mm² ultra-large VC heat dissipation plate with double-layer ultra-high thermal conductivity graphite; one-click global cooling for cooler high-performance output.
Gaming triggers
The iQOO15 Ultra features newly designed super-sensitive gaming controls. Super-sensitive gaming shoulder buttons, a super-sensitive gyroscope, and super-sensitive touch combine to create a system-level, multi-dimensional control experience, raising the bar for operational performance to a whole new level.
- Super-Sensitive Gaming Shoulder Buttons: 600Hz ultra-high sampling rate, with a tested response speed as low as 32 milliseconds in popular games;
- Super-Sensitive Gyroscope: 500Hz sampling rate, combined with iQOO’s self-developed super-sensitive speed algorithm, capable of capturing your subtle hand movements in real time;
- Super-Sensitive Touch: Up to 4000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, 480Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate; In collaboration with the official “Delta Force” game, a super-sensitive zoned touch function has been launched, with specific touch optimizations for the skill button area and the wheel area, eliminating touch drops and providing faster response; precisely optimized wheel return speed and crosshair return rate.
Camera
The iQOO 15 Ultra has a 50-megapixel Sony main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 50-megapixel Sony Pro-level periscope telephoto lens. The ultra-thin prism triple-reflection M-shaped optical path design delivers high image quality and a comfortable feel.
Paired with NICE algorithms and large-scale image quality enhancement technology, the camera delivers a truly cinematic experience, said the company. There are Live Photos, AI visual effects, and more.
Design
The phone come in 2049 and 2077 colours and features several detailed design details:
- Energy Matrix: A sci-fi-inspired hexagonal honeycomb texture;
- The Deco capsule: The transparent Deco reveals the internal modules, giving it a more futuristic feel; Deco also incorporates energy light blades, with the lights pulsating slowly.
- Extra-large R-angle design, AG micro-frosted back cover + AF coating, low-temperature matte metal frame;
- L-shaped capsule charging cable: won’t obstruct your hand when holding the phone horizontally.
Battery
The iQOO 15 Ultra packs a 7400mAh single-cell Blue Ocean battery with 100W ultra-fast flash charging and 40W wireless fast charging, compatible with PPS and PD fast charging.
