Design and Form Factor
The REDMAGIC 11 Air prioritizes a lightweight build, measuring 12% thinner and 10% lighter than the REDMAGIC 11 Pro. Despite the reduced dimensions, the device retains the brand’s signature transparent aesthetic and RGB lighting elements.
The design aims to provide a comfortable grip for extended usage, blending subtle curves with an industrial look. Notably, the 11 Air maintains the slim profile associated with the previous 10 Air model while integrating upgraded internal components.
Core Performance and Hardware
At the heart of the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This platform replaces the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the 10 Air, offering improved efficiency and processing speeds for demanding workloads.
To further optimize gaming performance, REDMAGIC has integrated its proprietary RedCore R4 gaming chip. This co-processor works alongside the main SoC to manage specific gaming functions, including:
- Super Resolution & Frame Rate: Upscaling 60fps content to 144fps for smoother motion.
- Image Rendering: Enhancing color contrast and detail.
- Haptics: Coordinating with the linear motor to provide 4D vibration feedback based on in-game audio cues.

The system utilizes an intelligent load prediction engine to stabilize frame rates and manage power consumption during varying levels of gameplay intensity.
Thermal Management
A key feature of the 11 Air is the introduction of active cooling to the Air series. The thermal management system includes:
- Turbo Cooling Fan: A compact, 24,000 RPM centrifugal fan designed to maximize airflow within the limited internal space.
- 4D Ice-Steps Vapor Chamber: An upgraded vapor chamber with a tiered structure that increases vapor space by 40% compared to previous models. This design utilizes irregular internal cavities to accelerate heat dispersion.
This “ICE” cooling system is engineered to minimize thermal throttling and maintain lower device temperatures during prolonged gaming sessions.
Display and Control Inputs
The front of the device features a 2688×1216 full-screen display with ultra-narrow bezels. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate, an increase from the 120Hz panel used in the 10 Air.
For controls, the phone includes exclusive 520Hz shoulder triggers, providing console-style input for competitive gaming. These triggers now support vertical gaming modes, expanding their utility across different game genres.

The device also features Charge Separation technology, which allows the phone to bypass the battery and power the motherboard directly when plugged in. This feature is designed to reduce heat generation during charging and preserve long-term battery health.
Software and AI Integration
Running on REDMAGIC OS 11.0, the device includes a suite of AI-driven tools aimed at both gaming and productivity:
- Game Space: Includes a “Tactical Coach” for real-time guidance in popular titles like PUBG MOBILE and Free Fire.
