Adobe has launched Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat for ChatGPT, making the company’s creative and productivity apps available to the platform’s 800 million users. The integration allows users to edit images, design content, and manage documents directly through ChatGPT using simple text prompts.
Adobe Apps in ChatGPT
The apps use agentic AI and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to provide step-by-step workflows within the chat interface. Users can enhance photos, design invitations, and manage documents without switching to separate applications.
The launch builds on Adobe’s previous AI initiatives, including Acrobat Studio, AI Assistants for Photoshop and Adobe Express introduced at Adobe MAX, and a preview of an AI Assistant for Adobe Firefly.
Adobe Photoshop
- Edit specific areas of images.
- Adjust brightness, contrast, and exposure.
- Apply creative effects such as Glitch, Glow, or grain for vintage styles.
- Use sliders in ChatGPT for precise adjustments.
Adobe Express
- Access a library of professional templates for invitations, posters, and social media content.

Adobe Acrobat
- Edit PDFs within ChatGPT.
- Combine, organize, compress, and convert files while preserving formatting and quality.

Prompting and Use Cases
The company has shared that users can achieve precise results by providing clear and specific instructions and working step by step. Prompts begin with the app name, for example: /AdobePhotoshop, make the people pop in my photo, followed by additional instructions such as applying effects or adjusting elements.
Examples provided by the company include:
- Photoshop: Enhance vacation photos, apply artistic effects to backgrounds or objects, or add grain for a vintage look.
- Express: Design invitations by selecting a template, updating text, and replacing or animating images to match the event.
- Acrobat: Combine resumes, cover letters, and references into a single PDF, edit text, or redact sensitive information for job applications.
The company recommends breaking complex edits into separate prompts and using interactive sliders in ChatGPT to fine-tune adjustments.
Pricing and Availability
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat for ChatGPT are free for all ChatGPT users and available globally on desktop, web, and iOS. Adobe Express is also available on Android, with support for Photoshop and Acrobat on Android coming soon.
