
Update: Lauren Dreyer, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, confirmed that the Starlink India website is not currently live, and the company is not accepting orders from customers in India, and it was dummy test data which was a glitch on the website.
Elon Musk’s satellite internet venture, Starlink, is preparing to launch services in India after completing regulatory approvals and operational groundwork. The service aims to provide high-speed connectivity to remote and underserved regions.

Only individual residential plans have been revealed on the website; Business tier pricing has not been listed at the time of writing.
Launch Preparation, Gateway Stations and Operations
Reports indicate that Starlink is planning to establish gateway earth stations in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Noida, which would connect user terminals to SpaceX’s satellite constellation. The company reportedly received a five-year licence from India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in July to operate commercial satellite broadband services.
Starlink is also said to be expanding its team in India, hiring for its Bengaluru office in areas including payments, accounting, treasury, and tax. While the official launch date has not been confirmed, services could begin soon following gateway setup and regulatory clearance.
