DJI Neo 2 with 12MP camera, 4K 100fps recording, 2-axis gimbal, gesture control, and obstacle sensing announced

DJI has launched the Neo 2, a compact 151g drone featuring omnidirectional obstacle sensing. It supports gesture control, SelfieShot, and enhanced ActiveTrack, enabling low-altitude follow filming during activities such as running, cycling, or travel. The drone is suitable for beginners as well as FPV enthusiasts.

DJI Neo 2

Neo 2 features a small onboard display showing the current shooting mode. It can be launched from the user’s palm and returned safely using the Return-to-Palm feature. Control options include hand gestures, voice commands, the RC-N3 remote, or motion controller with goggles.

The drone includes a 12MP, 1/2-inch CMOS sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-axis gimbal, producing stable, low-noise footage. It supports video recording at 4K up to 100fps and 2.7K vertical video, suitable for cinematic-quality captures.

Neo 2 can automatically frame subjects with ActiveTrack and SelfieShot, tracking at speeds up to 12 m/s with eight-direction tracking. Intelligent modes, including Dolly Zoom, QuickShots, and MasterShots, allow creative camera movements and automated video editing.
