Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 series at its next Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco on February 25, 2026, according to a new report from Korean outlet Money Today. While Samsung has not yet confirmed the date, industry sources cited in the report indicate that the company has already begun preparing for the event.
Later-than-usual Unpacked timeline
Samsung traditionally holds its Galaxy S Unpacked events in late January or early February, but the February 25 timeline suggests a slightly delayed launch window. The company has yet to issue official invitations or confirm the final details.
The Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to feature the company’s new Exynos 2600 chipset and enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities. The previously planned “Edge” variant appears to have been cancelled, with Samsung expected to stick to three models — the base, Plus, and Ultra.
As per the publication, an official with knowledge of the matter stated:
Samsung is preparing for the San Francisco Unpacked event, its first in three years since the S23 in 2023. As San Francisco has become a global center for AI technology, it is the ideal location for Samsung to host an event that opens the era of AI smartphones.
If accurate, this would mark Samsung’s first San Francisco-based Galaxy S launch in three years, following the debut of the Galaxy S23 series in 2023. With several months remaining before the event, more information about the Galaxy S26 series is likely to surface as development progresses.
