OPPO just introduced the Find X9 series for the global markets. Even though this has the same Dimensity 9500 SoC as the Find X9 Pro, this is more compact, and there are changes in the screen and the camera specifications. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The Find X9 has a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with 120Hz variable refresh rate. The screen is bright even in outdoors since it has up to 3600 nits Peak Outdoor Brightness. You can see ultra-narrow 1.1mm bezels on all the sides, much slimmer than the 1.45mm bezels in the Find X8. It also doesn’t miss out on 3840Hz PWM Dimming.
Inside the punch-hole there is a 32-megapixel camera. The earpiece grill is on the top edge, which doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone has finally switched to an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC and has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs Android 16-based ColorOS 16 on top, and the company has promised 5 OS updates and 6 years of security updates for the phone.

Coming to the button placements, the power button and the volume rockers are present on the right side.
The dual SIM slot is present on the bottom along with the primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill. The IR blaster is on the top, otherwise it is clean since the secondary microphone is integrated into the earpiece grill. The phone has a solid aluminium frame with a matte finish that offers a good grip. It doesn’t miss out of IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Find X9 has triple rear cameras without the camera bar, and the camera bump is less compared to the older Find series phones. It has a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3X periscope telephoto camera. Both the front and rear cameras support up to 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording. Check out some camera samples below.

The phone has a matte glass finish on the back that doesn’t slip out of the hands easily. It has a 7025mAh silicon-carbon battery in its sleek 7.99mm body, which is good enough for all-day use, and has 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. It also has 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
The OPPO Find X9 has launched in Europe, and the company says that the global roll out will begin in the first week of November. It has already confirmed the India launch in November.
