HUAWEI is expected to introduce a new smartwatch in India equipped with wrist-based blood pressure monitoring, according to reports. A teaser image circulating on the internet suggests the launch is forthcoming.
The promotional material shows the silhouette of a smartwatch accompanied by an ECG-like pulse line and the tagline, “Blood Pressure Monitoring on Your Wrist – Coming Soon.” This feature would mark a significant addition to the health-tracking capabilities commonly available on consumer smartwatches.
Currently, standard features on most smartwatches include heart rate, SpO₂, and ECG tracking. Consistent and reliable blood pressure monitoring directly from the wrist has been a less common feature in the wearable technology industry.
Globally, HUAWEI has already launched the Watch D2, which features medical-grade certification for its health monitoring functions. Speculation suggests that this device, or a comparable model, may be the one planned for the Indian market.
While HUAWEI has not yet officially confirmed a launch date for India, the appearance of the teaser suggests that an announcement could be imminent. The device is anticipated to appeal to health-conscious consumers and individuals who manage hypertension.
