Following Netflix’s introduction of a new “Moments” feature last year, the company has released an update to enhance the user experience. This feature, which was initially designed to let mobile users save, share, and re-create scenes from their favorite shows and movies, has now been improved to allow for more precise clip creation.
Originally, the “Moments” feature enabled users to save iconic scenes, with popular examples including Wednesday Addams’s viral dance or the debut of the song “Soda Pop” from K-Pop Demon Hunters. These saved scenes would be stored in the “My Netflix” tab for easy access and sharing.
With the new update, users have more control over the clips they create. When watching on a mobile device, tapping the “Clip” button now gives users the option to set both a starting and an ending point.
This functionality allows for the creation of shorter or longer clips, which can be saved to a user’s personal “My Netflix” archive for later viewing or sharing on social media platforms. The update is timed to coincide with this week’s release of Wednesday Season 2, Part 2.
