Panasonic LUMIX S1II and S1IIE full-frame mirrorless cameras launched in India

Panasonic Life Solutions India has introduced two new full-frame mirrorless cameras, the LUMIX S1II and LUMIX S1IIE, adding to the LUMIX S Series lineup.

LUMIX S1II

Equipped with a new 24.1MP full-frame partially stacked CMOS sensor, the S1II uses Panasonic’s Venus Engine for on-camera image processing. Video capabilities include 5.1K at 60 fps, 4K at 120 fps, and 5.8K at 60 fps. In V-Log, the camera can record up to 15 stops of dynamic range for frame rates under 30 fps.

For continuous capture, the S1II supports blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 70 frames per second in SH and SH PRE modes. Open Gate video is available at 5.1K/60 fps. Panasonic stated that a firmware update is planned to introduce multiple frame-marker displays.

LUMIX S1IIE

The S1IIE is fitted with a 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor drawn from the LUMIX S5II design. It supports 6K open-gate recording at 30 fps and offers a 2.4:1 widescreen aspect ratio at frame rates up to 60 fps without cropping. In V-Log the camera provides more than 14 stops of dynamic range.

Continuous shooting with the electronic shutter (SH/SH PRE) reaches up to 30 fps, while mechanical shutter bursts (H+ mode) go up to 10 fps; both operate without viewfinder blackout. Open Gate recording at 6K/30 fps is supported for flexible reframing.
