Infinix GT 30 5G+ Unboxing and First Impressions


Infinix has launched the GT 30 5G+, the company’s latest 5G gaming smartphone in the GT series, in India today. Here we have the unboxing and the first impressions of the smartphone.

The phone has a 6.78-inch (1224×2720 pixels) 1.5K flat AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The screen is bright since it has up to 4500 nits peak brightness. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

There is a 13MP front camera inside the tiny notch supports 4K 30 fps video recording. The earpiece is present on the top edge, which doubles as a secondary speaker. There is a small bezel below the screen. The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The phone runs Android 15 with XOS 15 on top, and the company has promised 2 years of Android update and 3 years of security updates for the phone. XOS 15 brings now lets you customize the size of the icons, and also shape and the colors. It has several special functions that support multi-tasking (Floating Window, Dynamic Bar), performance (Game Mode), and Security (Theft Alert, Peek Proof).

AI features include AIGC Portrait Mode (In the Camera), AI Wallpaper Generator, AI Note, Folax- AI Voice Assistant and AI Gallery – AI Eraser, AI Cut-out, Search. It also has Writing Assistant, Document Assistant, Call Assistant, Social Assistant and Circle to Search.

Under the hood, the GT 30 5G+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. It has support for 10 5G bands, has 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. For connectivity, there is 360 Antenna design.

The GT 30 5G+ is equipped with a large VC Cooling area that is 13% larger than the previous generation. The gaming triggers are customizable.

Coming to button placements, the power button is present on the right along with volume rockers. You can also notice the gaming triggers. The dual SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone and vent for speaker are present on the top, along with an infrared sensor.

The phone has dual rear cameras that include a 64MP main camera along with a 8MP ultra-wide camera. It supports 4K video recording from both the front and rear cameras.

The phone has The phone has Cyber Mecha 2.0 design, 10 customizable white LED lighting. The lights respond to real-time triggers like charging status, incoming calls, or in-game events. Beyond ornamental, the effects offer situational awareness during gameplay or multitasking. This visual interface, inspired by modular machinery and robotic detail, enhances both identity and interaction, said the company.

It just 7.99mm thick, yet packs a huge, 5500mAh battery. There is 45W wired charging that can charge the phone under an hour, and the phone also supports bypass charging as well as 10W reverse wired charging.

The Infinix GT 30 Pro starts at Rs. 19,499. With offers, the effective starting price is Rs. 17,999. It will be available from Flipkart and Infinix India online store starting from August 14th.
