Amazon Kindle Colorsoft gets a cheaper 16GB model


Amazon introduced the Kinde Colorsoft as the first Kindle with a 7-inch 150 ppi color screen which the company Colorsoft display technology with high-contrast in October last year. Now it has introduced a cheaper model with 16GB of storage instead of 32GB storage in the original model.

This doesn’t have auto-adjusting front light, and wireless charging which the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition has, but other features are similar.

To remind you the Kindle Colorsoft has built-in light, 300 ppi B&W, 150 ppi color, optimized font technology, an adjustable warm light and 16-level gray scale. It has IPX8 waterproof ratings and, promises up to 8 weeks of battery life, and has USB-C wired charging.

Pricing and availability

The new Kindle Colorsoft comes in black colour and is priced at USD 249.99 (Rs. 21,625 approx.) with three months of Kindle Unlimited included and is available from today in the US. The Kindle Colorsoft 32GB model is available for USD 279.99 (Rs. 24,215 approx.).

There is also a Kindle Colorsoft Kids model at USD 269.99 (Rs. 23,355 approx.) that includes one year of Amazon Kids+ and a fun kid-friendly cover. It is also available from today in the US.
