Gmail adds ‘Manage Subscriptions’ to streamline subscription emails

Google has introduced a new “Manage subscriptions” feature in Gmail to help users better handle subscription emails. It lets you see and control all your current subscriptions from one screen, allowing you to unsubscribe quickly with just one click.

What is the “Manage subscriptions” feature?

This tool organizes your active subscriptions by frequent senders and shows how many emails each has sent recently.

  • Clicking a sender shows all their emails, and you can unsubscribe instantly—Gmail sends the request on your behalf.
  • Access it by clicking the navigation bar in the top-left corner of your inbox and selecting the subscription management option.

Why it matters

Chris Doan, Director of Gmail, noted users often face too many unwanted subscription emails. This feature streamlines managing them in one place, making it easier to stay organized and reduce inbox clutter.

It gives users more visibility and control over what lands in their inbox. He added Gmail blocks most spam and phishing emails, and AI updates have reduced scams by 35%, enhancing email management.

Availability

The feature is rolling out from July 8, 2025, on web, Android, and iOS for select countries.
