Xbox June 2025 update: Aggregated game library, Copilot for gaming beta on mobile, and more

Microsoft has rolled out its June Xbox update with major additions across PC, console, and mobile. Key changes include a combined PC game library, Copilot AI beta on mobile, better cloud save sync, console personalization tools, and more retro and accessory support.

Copilot for Gaming (Beta) on Mobile

The Copilot AI assistant, available in the Xbox mobile app beta, helps players with guidance and support during gameplay by answering questions about their game or other titles.

PC Gaming Improvements

Aggregated Gaming Library: The Xbox PC app now shows games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and other stores in one place. Installed titles are added to “My Library” and “Most Recent,” with the option to hide any storefront via settings.

Publisher Channel: A dedicated channel in the Game Pass tab highlights popular publishers with access to their full game catalogs, making it easier to discover new or favorite titles.

Xbox Console Updates
  • Recently Used List: Players can now pin favorite titles, hide system apps, and control how many recent items appear on Home.

  • Free Game Perks: Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass users can redeem in-game rewards like skins and currency for select free titles, found under More Benefits (console) or game pages (mobile).
  • Game Hubs: Now show achievements, friends online, add-ons, and more. Players can toggle hubs on/off in settings.

  • Cloud Sync: Enhanced with device names, timestamps, and sync status indicators to help manage saves across devices and avoid data issues.

Additional Features
  • Game Bar Update: The Edge Game Assist browser is now built into gameplay via Windows + G, giving fast access to guides, Twitch, Discord, and Spotify.

  • Accessories: The Xbox Floral collection introduces new performance gear with a bold design.

  • Dynamic Themes: Animated backgrounds now include titles like Hundred Bullets, Boltgun, The Witcher 3, and a Pride 2025 design.
  • Touch & Input Support: Touch and USB keyboard/mouse support have been expanded across supported games.

  • Game Streaming: Users can stream 200+ owned games through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta).
  • Retro Games: Antstream Arcade adds more classics, expanding the retro lineup to over 100 games.

  • Play Anywhere Support: 1,000+ games now offer synced gameplay across Xbox, PC, and handhelds.
Availability
  • The aggregated game library is available now to Xbox Insiders on Windows 11 PCs and handhelds, with a wider release planned for this holiday on ROG Xbox Ally devices.
  • Copilot for Gaming (Beta) is live on the Xbox mobile app beta for iOS and Android, and will also come to ROG Xbox Ally during the holidays.
