Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital have announced a significant collaboration at Round One of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025. This partnership will bring the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi EV’s flagship high-performance luxury electric vehicle, to the popular racing simulator Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This marks the first time a Xiaomi model has been featured in the Gran Turismo franchise.
Gran Turismo is widely recognized for its authentic driving simulation, with engineering parameters designed to mirror real-world vehicle performance. Its influence extends beyond gaming, contributing to advancements in vehicle dynamics and safety while connecting automotive enthusiasts globally. The inclusion of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra highlights the increasing prominence of smart, high-performance electric vehicles within the automotive industry.
In May 2025, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi met with Xiaomi Group Founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun in Beijing. During his visit, Yamauchi test-drove the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and toured Xiaomi’s EV factory in Yizhuang.
At the partnership announcement event, Yamauchi praised the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra as a standout in the smart EV segment, noting its competitive performance at the Nürburgring Nordschleife as a testament to Xiaomi EV’s engineering capabilities.
Gran Turismo 7 will integrate the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra through a co-development process with Xiaomi EV, aiming to authentically replicate its luxury aesthetics and driving dynamics. This high-performance EV will be made available to players worldwide in Gran Turismo 7.
Looking ahead, Xiaomi and Gran Turismo plan further collaboration, including the development of the Xiaomi VISION GRAN TURISMO concept vehicle.
