Truecaller, a caller ID and call-blocking application, today shared new subscriber milestones for its paid services in 2025.

Subscriber Growth Overview

By May 17, 2025, Truecaller’s total paid subscriber count worldwide crossed 3 million. Later, on May 27, the company reported surpassing 1 million paid users on the iOS platform.

For comparison:

  • By March 31, 2025, the total reached 2.86 million, with iOS users numbering 860,000.

This data shows a noticeable increase in iOS subscribers during the first quarter of 2025.

New Features Supporting Growth

The subscriber rise follows recent updates to Truecaller’s iOS app that introduced advanced AI features. The company said it is moving beyond a basic utility app toward a more complete identity platform for mobile communications, aiming to improve how users handle their calls and contacts.

Subscription Options in India

Truecaller offers the following subscription plans in India through its app:

  • Truecaller Premium: Rs. 99 per month or Rs. 899 per year
  • Truecaller Family: Sharing with up to four additional users; priced at Rs. 249 per month or Rs. 1,490 per year
  • Truecaller Gold: Available at Rs. 5,000 per year

Speaking about the milestones, Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Truecaller’s CEO, said,

I am glad to see that an increasing number of users recognize the benefits of upgrading to premium. Over the past few years, we have enhanced and simplified our premium offerings considerably. Our premium subscribers now enjoy several valuable features such as our AI-Assistant, improved spam blocking, and fraud protection, among others.

Starting in January, premium users on iOS also gained access to the Live Caller ID feature. Our focused approach on iOS product optimization and user conversion has delivered promising results. Additionally, our family plan—which allows adding up to four family members under a discounted premium package—has experienced positive growth.

Commenting on the milestones, Fredrik Kjell, Truecaller’s COO, said,

We plan to keep enhancing our subscription services by introducing improved features and offering more tools to enrich our users’ communication experience. Reaching these milestones is a positive development, but our goals extend far beyond 3 million subscribers. Increasing our subscriber base significantly boosts revenue, as premium users contribute much higher revenue per user.
