Lenovo has introduced its latest Legion Tab Y700 model in China, as the successor to last year’s model. This gets an 8.8″ 3K LCD screen with 165Hz refresh rate and is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, replacing the 8 Gen 3 SoC in the predecessor.
The tablet has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It features Central cooling architecture 2.0, so it can handle high load without getting hot, thanks to 12000mm² large VC Stereo three-channel liquid cooling and VC 7-layer composite cooling system with 41356mm² total cooling area.
Compared with the previous generation, the weight is reduced by 10g and the thickness is reduced by 11%, and the tablet is just 6.99mm. It has a bigger, 7600mAh battery and 68W fast charging.
The main highlight of the tablet is that it can transform into a handheld gaming console when you attach the G9 game controller.
The G9 Pro model has Optical ABXY keys, and Unique sound and vibration. These use type-C low latency direct connection, RGB lighting effect, adjustable Hall linear/micro-switch, dual-cut trigger, High-precision Hall rocker Quick-release protective case, 4 macro recording back buttons and ultimate control software.

Pricing and availability
The Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 (2025) comes in Black and Ice Soul White colours and is priced at 3299 yuan (USD 456 / Rs. 39,110 approx.) for the 12GB+256GB model and the 16GB+512GB model costs 3799 yuan (USD 526 / Rs. 45,030 approx.). The G9 game controller attachment costs 499 yuan (USD 69 / Rs. 5,915 approx.).
It is already available to order and will go on sale in China starting from May 31st.
