HUAWEI has introduced the FreeBuds 6 globally, after first launching the earbuds in China in March this year.
These earbuds have a droplet-shaped design with smooth curves that fit comfortably in the ear. They are 12% smaller and 9% lighter than the previous model, crafted using data from millions of ears for better comfort.
The FreeBuds 6 support Bluetooth v5.2 and feature a dual-driver system with an 11 mm dynamic driver and a planar diaphragm driver, delivering clear highs, deep bass, and balanced mids, even in open sound environments.

The earbuds feature a separated triple-system design for better sound and are the company’s first open-fit model to support 2.3 Mbps lossless audio transmission with high-resolution sound up to 48 kHz/24 bit. They hold HWA Lossless and Hi-Res Wireless Audio certifications.
The earbuds provide up to 2.5 hours of listening time with just a 5-minute charge and can last as long as 36 hours when fully charged. Their smart charging system helps increase battery longevity by 37% by adapting to how the user charges them.

Key features include:
- Automatic sound adjustment based on ear canal, fit, and volume
- Two sound modes (Classical and Balanced) tuned with musicians
- Open-fit active noise cancellation reducing noise up to 95 dB and wind interference
- Call control via simple head gestures
- Smart volume adjustment based on surrounding noise
Other notable features include the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms, with additional device switching support on EMUI devices. The earbuds also support proximity pairing that prompts a connection when the case is opened, and they have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
