Sennheiser expanded its headphone range in India with the HD 505, aimed at audio enthusiasts and gamers seeking high-fidelity sound. The HD 505 uses a custom 120-ohm transducer, developed at Sennheiser’s Tullamore, Ireland facility.
It offers a frequency response of 12 to 38,500 Hz and keeps total harmonic distortion under 0.2%, delivering precise sound with deep bass, clear mids, and smooth treble. Angled transducers help create a wide soundstage, simulating nearfield loudspeakers for an immersive experience in music, movies, and gaming.
Offered in a Copper Edition, the HD 505 weighs 237 grams and features a synthetic leather headband and metal mesh earcup covers for comfort and durability. Based on the HD 500 series chassis, it’s designed for extended listening sessions.
Its modular design includes a detachable 1.8m cable with a 3.5mm plug and a 6.3mm adapter, supporting amplifiers, sound cards, and A/V receivers. The headphones allow users to replace the cables and earpads for a personalized setup.
