Google introduced Enhanced Video Quality for YouTube Premium subscribers earlier this year. It was released for iOS a few months back, and for the Web in July. Earlier this week, YouTube has finally rolled out the feature for the Android users.
Similar to the feature available on iOS and the web, there is a new enhanced bitrate version of 1080p HD video quality for Premium members on Android, in addition to the 1080p HD video quality.
YouTube says that the enhanced bitrate version will provide extra crisp and clear videos, particularly for videos with high detail and motion. This is not available for all the videos, and it is not clear which videos are eligible to get this feature.
Are you a YouTube Premium user? Did you get to try the enhanced bitrate option on Android, web or iOS? Did you find any difference between the standard 1080p and the 1080p enhanced bitrate options? Let us know in the comments below.
