Haier India invests Rs. 400 crore in Phase II expansion at Greater Noida Plant


Haier Appliances India (Haier India) is embarking on Phase II expansion of its Greater Noida plant, emphasizing its commitment to manufacturing capabilities and the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Haier India’s deep freezer manufacturing unit in Ranjangaon, Pune, has recently obtained ISI certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This certification further highlights the company’s adherence to quality standards.

Haier India’s Progress and Investment in Phase II

Haier India has established itself as a leader in the consumer appliance industry and is investing INR 400 crores in Phase II of the expansion, adding 44,890 square metres of space to the existing plant.

Phase II of the expansion aims to enhance production capacity and backward integration skills by establishing a plant for injection moulding and sheet metal, contributing to employment opportunities and economic growth. The Phase II development is planned to take place from July 2023 until November 2024.

Haier’s ‘Make in India, Made for India’ Philosophy

Aligned with the ‘Make in India, Made for India’ philosophy, Haier invested INR 1600 crores in the first phase of Noida Industrial Park. The unit has successfully manufactured and delivered 2 million sets of air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators, showcasing a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Commenting on the Phase II expansion, Satish NS, President at Haier India, said,
