iQOO 11 Unboxing and First Impressions


iQOO launched the iQOO 11, the company’s latest flagship smartphone, in India this week. The successor to last year’s iQOO 9T packs India’s first 144Hz 2K E6 AMOLED screen and is also the first phone in the country to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Here we have the unboxing.

Starting with the display, the iQOO 11 packs a 6.78-inch (3200 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ E6 LTPO 4.0 AMOLED 20:9 144Hz variable refresh rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming and has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Since the display has up to 1800 nits brightness, it is good to view outdoors.

It has a punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.45 aperture. The earpiece doubles up as a secondary speaker.

There is a small chin below the screen. It has an in-display optical fingerprint scanner.

Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile platform with built-in 5G SA/NSA support, it has support for several 5G bands. It has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM. It also has up to 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.

The phone has 24768 mm² total heat dissipation area in which 4013 mm² is the VC cooling area. It has X-axis linear vibration motor and 4D vibration, making it suitable for gaming. It runs Android 13 with FuntouchOS 13, and the company has promised 3 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates for the phone.

Coming to button placements, the phone has a home button and volume rockers on the right. The bottom part is crammed with a dual SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and a speaker grill. The secondary microphone and the IR blaster are present on the top. The phone has an aviation-grade aluminum middle frame which looks and feels premium.

The phone packs triple rear cameras that include a 50MP main camera with Samsung GN5 sensor, and f/1.88 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 13MP 2x telephoto camera with f/2.6 aperture. It also has V2 chip. There is up to 8K 30 fps and 4K 60 fps video recording. Check out some camera samples.

The Legend version that we have has a vegan leather back that offers a good grip. Since it is in white colour, it will gather dust easily. There are BMW stripes. The Alpha version in Black has a glass back. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 120W flash charging with 120W fast charging

Priced starting at Rs. 59,999 for the base 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version, it is also available in 16GB RAM with 256GB storage version that costs Rs. 64,999.

The phone is already on sale Amazon.in for prime users from today, and will be available for all and on iQOO.com starting from tomorrow January 13th. With the Flat Rs. 5000 off with HDFC / ICICI cards and Rs. 1000 off with coupon on Amazon, the effective price of the phone is Rs. 53,999.
