Samsung Galaxy A74 might not launch next year

Samsung doesn’t have plans to launch a top-end A series phone next year, so the Galaxy A74 might not launch as the successor to the Galaxy A73, according to Dutch site Galaxy Club.

We had already heard rumours about the Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34 5G, and Galaxy A54 that should launch sometime in Q1 2023, after the launch of Galaxy S23 series in February.

This will increase the gap between the A series and the S series, since there is no news of the Galaxy S22 FE yet. To remind you, the Galaxy S21 FE was introduced back in January.

It looks like Samsung is looking to reduce the number of A series smartphones in the mid-range. So, for those who are looking for a top-end A series phone next year will have to go with the Galaxy A54 which is said to get a new Exynos 1380 SoC, 6.4″ FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, 50MP camera and a 5,100mAh battery.

We should know more details about Samsung’s upcoming A series phones in the coming months.
