Last week, Apple scheduled its ‘Far out’ event on September 7th where it is expected to introduce the iPhone 14 series and new Apple Watch models. According to m Japanese website Mac Otakara, the rugged Apple Watch Pro will feature a large 47mm case and a flat display.
Earlier rumours revealed a 1.99-inch screen and a50mm case for the smartwatch. The standard Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to come in 41mm and 45mm models with a curved screen, similar to the existing Apple Watch Series 7.
This year’s Apple Watch Pro model is expected to feature a titanium casing, S8 chip, improvements to Low Power Mode, and a longer battery life. The new models are expected to come with a new feature to measure the wearer’s body temperature.
Apple Watch with satellite functionality in 2023?
We had heard of Apple working on Apple Watch with satellite functionality. Once again, in the latest ‘Power On’ newsletter, Mark Gurman has mentioned that Apple has internally discussed adding satellite features to that Watch. This could be available in the next year’s more rugged version of the Apple Watch Pro.
