realme today confirmed the launch of realme 9i 5G, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone, in India on August 18th. This comes after the launch of 4G version of the realme 9i earlier this year.
After the mirror design in the realme 7 series, dynamic light design in the realme 8 series, and the ripple holographic design in the realme 9 series, the realme 9i 5G will use a laser light design, said the company. It has confirmed MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC for the phone, which it had already used in the realme 9 5G.
The teaser image shows triple rear cameras and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. We can expect a FHD+ LCD screen and a 5000mAh battery for the phone.
In a letter to its fans, realme VP, Madhav Sheth regarding the future of 5G phones, said:
We already have a base of 5 million realme family empowered by 5G devices. We are excited about 5th generation cellular networks that will be rolling out across India!
At realme, we have transitioned more than half of our portfolio to 5G and are currently working on increasing the production of 5G phones within the INR 10,000 – INR 15,000 segment.
