Apple said to launch new iPad Air with A15 chip, Center Stage camera and 5G support

Apple is planning to release its fifth-generation iPad Air alongside the third-generation iPhone SE in spring 2022. The upcoming iPad Air is expected to carry a similar specification as the sixth-gen iPad Mini.

It includes an A15 Bionic chip, 12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage support, 5G for cellular models, and Quad-LED True Tone flash, reports Japanese blog Mac Otakara.

Previously, Mac Otakara has reported information accurately about the fourth-generation iPad Air with USB-C port and, the latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro would be 0.5mm thicker to accommodate for a mini-LED display.

The alleged iPad Air will carry the same design as the current model, which includes a 10.9-inch display with slim bezels, a Touch ID power button, and a USB-C port.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the first product launch is expected to take place around March or April, where the new iPad Air and iPhone SE models could be announced.

Besides iPhone SE and iPad Air, Apple is planning to introduce other devices such as new 27-inch iMac and high-end Mac mini models with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips.
