Nothing ear (1) sale with launch offers set for August 31 in India

London-based consumer tech company Nothing launched the ear (1) in India last month priced at Rs. 5999. The earbuds went up for pre-order on Flipkart for the first time on August 17th. Soon after the first sale, the company’s CEO and Co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that it sold 4800 units in less than 2 minutes. Today, the company has announced that the next sale on Flipkart will happen on August 31st at 12 noon.

Similar to the first sale, those who buy the headset will get free 6 months Gaana Plus subscription. ICICI Bank Credit card users get Rs. 500 instant discount. The company did not reveal the number of units that will be available for sale, since several people who wanted to buy the earbuds couldn’t get one since it went out of stock in minutes.

The Nothing ear (1) has a transparent design to expose the engineering, including microphones, magnets and circuit board, features an 11.6 mm driver, has Bluetooth 5.2 and comes with Active Noise Cancellation. It offers up to 5.7 hours of listening time and up to 34 hours with the case. It also offers ultra-fast charging, so a 10 minutes charge of the case delivers up to 8 hours of listening for a day’s power. The case also has Qi wireless charging.
