Fossil Gen 6 Wear OS smartwatch with 1.28-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 4100+ SoC surfaces [Update: To be announced on Aug 30]


Update, 28th August 2021 – The launch teaser for the upcoming Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch is live on the company’s website and it will be officially unveiled sometime on Monday, August 30th, 2021. We should know more details soon.

Earlier: Google made big changes to its WearOS platform recently by collaborating with Samsung and announced the Wear OS 3. Following that now, Fossil is expected to launch its Gen 6 smartwatch and ahead of launch, key specifications have surfaced.

According to the renders, Fossil Gen 6 is said to sport a 1.28-inch OLED display with a resolution of 416 x 416 pixels and is said to support Always-On functionality. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100+ SoC clocked at up to 1.7GHz paired with Adreno A504 graphics and 8GB internal storage.

Further, it is also said to feature SpO2 monitoring, sleep tracking, step count tracking, heart rate tracking, and tracking cardio levels. As usual, it will come in 42mm and 44mm dial sizes with various designs for both men and women.

It is said to be priced starting at 299 Euros (USD $349 / Rs. 25,958 approx.) and is expected to be available starting September 27th, 2021. We should know more details in the coming weeks.
