POCO India acknowledges POCO X2 ‘camera not working’ issue, suggests solution

After a lot of complaints from POCO X2 users in India regarding the ‘camera not working’ issue, POCO has acknowledged the issue, saying that it has been reported by less than 0.2% of the total POCO X2 user base in India. For the affected users, the company has asked to follow the software solution protocol mentioned and added that this should fix the problem for the majority of the devices.

  • Clean Camera APP data:Open settings – Search Manage apps – Search Camera – Clear Data – Clear all data – OK
  • Reboot the phone
  • Check if the camera is working

In case the issue persists, you can follow the below Hardware solution protocol

  • Report it on the Semices & Feedback app and upload the device logs under the camera section. (Services & Feedback app is a part of every POCO X2 device, and you should be able to find it in the app drawer)
  • Once reported, you can approach POCO India support or the nearest service centre with the feedback ID generated by the services and feedback app. Please take a prior appointment before visiting a service center in accordance to Covid-19 guidelines here
  • 3. Our service centre executives have all the instructions and are well-equipped to help the POCO X2 camera working again.

Simultaneously, POCO said that it has come across stray instances of a small set of consumers trying to intentionally brick the camera and are pressurizing its service centre employees into giving them a free replacement phone. “Acts like this impact our ability to provide support to genuine consumers and could be liable to action,” said the company.
