Garmin, a company for their fitness-focused smartwatches, has announced Venu 2 series of GPS-enabled smartwatches. It features an AMOLED display, all-day health monitoring sensors, 25+ built-in sport apps, advanced sleep tracking and more.
The Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2S have a stainless steel bezel that houses a touchscreen AMOLED display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a range of sensors that enable the tracking of various parameters such as heart rate, Pulse Ox2, stress, fitness age, hydration and women’s health, which includes menstrual cycle tracking and pregnancy tracking.
For sleep tracking, the Venu 2 can detect light, deep and REM sleep stages along with movement, pulse ox and respiration, giving users a sleep core based on the quality and quantity of the previous night’s sleep. The watch can also show insights on how to improve sleep quality.
They feature support for over 25 built-in indoor and GPS sports activity tracking including walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, golf, Pilates and yoga, indoor climbing, bouldering and hiking. Battery life for the Venu 2 is rated at up to 11 days in smartwatch mode and up to 8 hours in GPS mode. The Venu 2S is rated at up to 10 days in smartwatch mode and up to 7 hours in GPS mode. They also support quick charging – 10 minutes of charge will provide 1 day of use.
The Venu 2 series is available in two sizes – Venu 2, which is 45mm watch with 22mm band and the Venu 2S, which is a 40mm watch with 18mm band, and they are both priced at $399.99 (Approx. Rs. 30,009).
