Panasonic Lumix S5 with 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor launched in India

Panasonic has announced the launch of their newest flagship, the Lumix S5, in India. This new hybrid full-frame mirrorless camera features their 24.2-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor, and loads of technologies inside such as their Native ISO technology, 5-axis Body Image Stabilizer, high precision AF and more.

The Dual Native ISO technology enables users to shoot both videos and photos with minimal noise while the camera’s advanced deep-learning technology powers its high-speed, high-precision AF that can track objects such as a human eye, face, head and body in real time.

The 5-axis Body I.S. can work with the 2-axis Optical Image Stabilizer in the LUMIX S Series lens to enable accurate shake detection and compensation, allowing users to allow a correction power of up to 6.5-stop slower shutter speed. In terms of video, the Lumix S5 can shoot up to 4K at 60fps or FHD at 180fps, and the camera is capable of capturing 14+ stops of dynamic range.

The Panasonic Lumix S5 will be priced at Rs. 1,64,900 for body and Rs. 1,89,900 for kit lens (LUMIX S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 lens), and will be available in Panasonic brand shops across India.
