Microsoft Surface Go 2 with 10.5-inch PixelSense display, 8th Gen Intel Core m3 processor announced

Microsoft launched the 10.1-inch Surface Go 2-in-1 back in 2018 and almost after 1 and half years, now the company has announced the latest Surface Go 2 tablet alongside the Surface Book 3, Surface Headphones 2 and Surface Earbuds.

The Surface Go 2 from Microsoft now sports a larger 10.5-inch PixelSense display with 10-point multi-touch and still retains the 3:2 aspect ratio. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 and it is powered by up to 8th Gen Intel Core m3 processor. The base model is still powered by the Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4425Y, but now, the Surface Go 2 can be configured with 8th Gen Intel Core m3 processor as well, and Microsoft promises up to 64% faster performance than the original Surface Go. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of SSD storage.

Moving on, the Surface Go 2 gets a single USB Type-C port, a Surface Connect, a Surface Type Cover Port, a MicroSDXC card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It now also features Studio Mics(dual-microphone) for increased voice clarity and reduce background noise, and on the optics front, it sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The rear camera is capable of 1080p FULL HD video recording and for the speakers, Microsoft has added 2W stereo speakers with support for Dolby Audio Premium.

As usual, it comes with the Surface Pen and users can also customise the Surface Go 2 with Type Covers, Sleeves and accessories in a variety of colours, including Platinum, Black, Poppy Red, and Ice Blue, and the existing Surface Go Type Covers will work fine with the new model as well.
