Lenovo Legion 5, IdeaPad Gaming 3i, and more with 10th Gen Intel Core H-Series/Ryzen 4000 Series announced


Earlier this month, Lenovo unveiled two new Legion gaming laptops – Legion 7i and Legion 5i with 10th Gen Intel Core processor, up to RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU, and more. Following that, Lenovo is now expanding its 2020 Legion gaming laptop lineup with the new Legion 5, IdeaPad Gaming 3i and two new towers – Lenovo Legion Tower 5i and IdeaCentre Gaming 5i.

The new lineup of Legion gaming laptops are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core H-Series/Ryzen 4000 Series CPU and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti and RTX 2080 SUPER GPUs with Max-Q Design. There are some improvements and new additions like the Lenovo Legion TrueStrike keyboard, Legion Coldfront 2.0, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, Rapid Charge Pro, etc.

Lenovo Legion 5 specifications

  • Display: 15.6-inch FULL HD display (1920 x 1080 resolution) with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 300 nits brightness
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H / AMD Ryzen 7 4800H
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 / 1650Ti
  • RAM: 8GB DDR4
  • ROM: Up to 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 6 (802.11 AX)
  • I/O ports: 4x USB-A 3.1 Gen 1, 1x Type-C USB 3.1 Gen 1, 1x audio jack, 1x HDMI 2.0, Ethernet
  • Speakers: 2x 2W

  • OS: Up to Windows 10 Pro
  • Battery: 60 Wh

On the other hand, the IdeaPad Gaming 3i flaunts a 15-inch FULL HD display with 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the 10th Gen Intel Core H-Series mobile processor with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti GPU. Lenovo has also offered an AMD Ryzen version, but it powers the IdeaPad Gaming 3 laptop. These weigh 2.2 kilograms and offer up to 8 hours of battery life.

Apart from this, Lenovo has also unveiled the Legion Tower 5i and IdeaCentre Gaming 5i. The Tower 5i can be configured with 10th Gen Intel Core Mobile-H Series processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GPU. The IdeaCentre Gaming 5i can be configured with an Intel processor as well as an AMD Ryzen CPU. But for the graphics, they can be configured with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.

Pricing and Availability

Lenovo Legion 5 gaming laptop is priced starting at US$ 849.99 (Rs. 64,989 approx.) and the IdeaPad Gaming 3i is priced starting at US$ 729.99 (Rs. 55,814 approx.). The Lenovo Legion Tower 5i desktop is priced starting at US$ 799.99 (Rs. 61,166). They will be available starting May 2020. However, the Lenovo IdeaCentre Gaming 5i and IdeaCentre Gaming 5 desktop towers will not be available in North America.
