After several leaks and renders, Apple finally introduced the iPhone SE 2020 smartphone yesterday which is the company’s latest smaller iPhone. It packs the same chip as the iPhone 11 Series in an iPhone 8 form factor. While Apple usually doesn’t reveal the RAM and battery specifications, thanks to a Chinese telecom listing which has now revealed these details.
According to a listing in Chinese telecom’s website, Apple iPhone SE (2020) sports 3GB RAM and packs an 1821 mAh battery. To compare, iPhone 8 has 2GB RAM and the iPhone 11 has 4GB RAM. Similarly, the battery capacity on the iPhone 8 is 1821 mAh. So, the new iPhone SE’s battery capacity is the same as the iPhone 8 and the RAM is higher than iPhone 8, but lower than iPhone 11.
In case you missed, the new iPhone SE is powered by A13 Bionic chip that powers by iPhone 11, comes with 4.7-inch HD Retain screen with Haptic Touch and still retains the Touch ID fingerprint sensor below the display. It has a glass and aluminium design, features single 12MP camera with 4k video recording and a 7MP front camera with 1080p HD video recording.
A teardown by folks at iFixit which is expected to happen soon should reveal modem and other details.
