Motorola schedules flagship phone launch event on April 22, Motorola Edge Series expected

Smartphone brands have shifted to online launch events due to ongoing lockdown in various parts of the world and on similar lines now, Motorola has scheduled a flagship smartphone launch event on April 22nd 2020. It could be the Motorola Edge+ that surfaced recently.

Motorola’s tweet reads “It’s arriving. Join us for the Motorola Flagship Launch E-vent, April 22nd, 11AM CDT.” The video in the tweet shows a glimpse of the waterfall display and the “E-vent” word mentioned in the tweet gives us a hint that it is the launch of Motorola Edge Series, i.e., Motorola Edge and Motorola Edge+.

In case you missed, the press images and key specifications surfaced earlier suggest that the Motorola Edge+ is said to sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ curved waterfall 90Hz display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM. On the optics front, it is said to feature a 108MP sensor and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Lastly, it is said to pack a 5170mAh battery and should come with Quick Charge support.

We should know the exact specifications and the pricing once it launches officially on April 22nd, 2020. The launch will take place online at 11 AM CDT (9:30 PM IST) and there will be live stream as usual.
