After TuneELITE that was launched last year, Noise, popular for its audio and other products launched the Tune Charge, another budget Neckband wireless earphones earlier this month. The main highlight of the headset is the dedicated bass booster button for an enhanced bass experience and it promises up to 16 hours of battery life.
The headphones come only in black color, and comes with different set of ear tips (Small, Medium and Large), micro USB Cable and a user manual in the box.
Design and Build Quality
The headset has a simple design that is similar to most other neckband wireless headsets. There in-ear buds have angled tips that perfectly fits in your ears, and doesn’t fall out easily even when you are running. There is a small wire connecting earbuds and the neck band. The back of the earbuds with noise branding is magnetic that snap together when not in use.
The band that you wear around the neck is flexible offering a rubbery feel, lightweight, yet sturdy. On the right side there are a lot of buttons that includes a power / multi-function button in the center and the volume adjustment buttons on either sides. You can also use the power button to play or pause and answer or reject a call. Similarly, the volume buttons can be used to switch to previous or next tracks. You can also see the LED light next to it that glows in blue and red colors. On the side there is a micro USB port and the bass booster button.
Since it comes with IPX5 ratings, it can withstand sweat and light rain, but you can’t immerse it in water.
Audio Quality
Coming to the audio quality, these headphones offers fairly good decent quality with decent amount of bass with the 10mm drivers and Qualcomm 3003 Chipset. Volume was good as well, but you have to adjust the volume on the headset every time since it doesn’t remember, even though you had paired the phone before. It has support for high quality AAC audio codec, so once you enable this in the Bluetooth settings, audio quality is slightly better. The bass boost button offers thumping bass with the press of dedicated bass booster button. Use this only if you like bass since the voice is not clear when it is enabled.
The earbuds offer decent amount of noise isolation as well, thanks to the angled design of the ear tips. You can choose the correct set of ear tips to fit your ears. We did not face any latency issues during music or video playback most times. Overall the audio quality is decent in most conditions.
The headset has a tiny microphone which is decent in most cases, however when you are in a crowded, noisy environment, it doesn’t pick up your voice clearly. This is common in most Bluetooth headsets since the tiny microphone doesn’t catch your voice clearly.
Connectivity, Pairing and AI assistant
The Bluetooth headset supports Bluetooth 5.0, so you can connect it to Android, iOS devices along with MP3 players with Bluetooth support.
It pairs to your phone quickly just after you turn on and select the Tune Charge to pair the headphones. You get voice feedback when it enters pairing mode and when it connects successfully. LED light blinks red and blue when it’s pairing, and blue LED glows when the pairing is complete. This also has dual pairing mode, so you can connect the earbuds to two Bluetooth devices at a time and switch between them easily.
The headset doesn’t have a companion app, but you can launch Siri on iOS and Google Assistant on Android devices when you quickly press the power button twice when no music is playing.
Battery Life
Noise promises about 16 hours of battery life, and we managed to get over 15 hours of battery life on a single charge, which is brilliant. The headset automatically turns off when it’s not connected to any device. If you have Android phones running Android 8.1 or later, you can see battery life of the Bluetooth headset. It gives audio prompts to charge the headset when the battery is low. Charging the headset from 0 to 100% takes about 3 hours, which tests your patience since it lacks quick charging.
