In the latest development, Samsung has rolled out an update for Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active, bringing enhanced Samsung Health features, Bixby features, and customisation options. From today, Samsung will roll out the feature in a phased manner.
This update lets the Watch and Watch Active users enjoy the user experience and functionalities of the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Upon updating, users can take full advantage of Bixby Voice to start an exercise routine, find out time differences between places, and easily control their SmartThings ecosystem. Notably, the Bixby capabilities have expanded to British English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
With this update, both Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active users will also be able to customise their watch face with access to 24 new sub-dials and complications, building on the 17 already available. Furthermore, the improved UX will also bring My Style feature both the watches for the first time.
Apart from Bixby and watch faces, this update brings various UX features. For instance, the icons for in-use apps have been moved to the bottom of the watch face. Also, the current time will now always be displayed on-screen when the stopwatch app is in use or users are on a call, and users can more easily customise the icons in their quick panel thanks to a change in layout.
Other changes include clearer graphic UI, easier user interaction, and new emoji offerings. Most importantly, the new Touch Bezel interface is included in the upgrade for Galaxy Watch Active users, allowing users to navigate using finger swipe actions around the bezel.
Moving on to the Samsung Health app, users can now keep track of their fitness goals through the Daily Active feature, as well as track lap times while running or cycling.
