Realme XT Pearl White Unboxing and Photo Gallery


realme today launched the realme XT smartphone in India starting at Rs. 15,999. We already unboxed the pearl blue version last month. We got hold of the Pearl White version, and here is our unboxing (in Tamil) and photo gallery.

The phone has a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has the waterdrop notch that houses the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors and a 16-megapixel camera with Sony IMX471 sensor, the same sensor used in the realme X and the realme 5 Pro. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 712 10nm SoC with up to 8GB RAM and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 realme edition which has few visual changes in the lockscreen, homescreen and notifications. There is also dark mode, but it is not available in our unit yet.

The company uses GOODIX G3.0 in-display fingerprint sensor, which offers one of the fastest fingerprint unlocking experiences today, says the company unlocking in 334ms, which it claims to be faster than 356ms in the Vivo Z1Pro, which uses a rear-mounted scanner.

The power button is present on the right, volume rockers and dedicated SIM and microSD slots are present on the left and the loudspeaker grill, USB Type-C port, microphone and the 3.5mm audio jack are present on the bottom. On the top there is a secondary microphone.

The phone has quad rear cameras with 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, while the 8MP 118° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.25 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP camera for 4cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture are same as the realme 5 Pro. It has AI scene recognition, Chrome boost, Super nightscape and Expert mode. There is EIS support for video.

The phone has a 3D glass back with Corning Gorilla 5 protection and offers holographic effect when light hits at certain angles. The company calls it Hyperbola light effect. The back doesn’t get scratched easily, but attracts fingerprints. It has a 4000mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 20W fast charging via USB Type-C port. It weighs about 183 grams, almost same the 5 pro, even though this has a glass back.

The realme XT is priced at Rs. 15,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 16,999 and the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs Rs. 18,999. It will be available from Flipkart and realme.com starting from September 16th, Monday.
