Apple Special Event scheduled on September 10; iPhone 11, Watch Series 5 expected


It is that time of the year when news on the upcoming iPhone models and other Apple products start to surface and there has been leaks and rumours on the upcoming iPhone 11 series. Now, Apple has officially scheduled an event in Cupertino, California on September 10th, 2019, putting an end to all leaks and rumours.

Apple has sent out media events for ‘Apple Special Event’ on September 10th, 2019 and the invite says ‘By innovation Only’. The event will take place at 10 AM PDT in Cupertino, California. The invite does not explicitly mention what the company is going to announce, but going by reports and past record, Apple is expected to launch new iPhone 11 models which could be named iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max/Pro and iPhone 11R.

Recent reports suggested that the new iPhones will sport triple camera system housed in a square camera bump. On similar lines, the new iPhones are said to feature an ultra-wide-angle lens to provide a wider field of view and the sensors are said to capture three images simultaneously and use new AI software to correct the combined picture automatically. The video recording capabilities are also said to been upgraded on the new iPhone models. We can also expect Apple to include reverse wireless charging, a new multi-angle Face ID sensor. Other expected specifications and feature include an OLED screen, A13 processor, improved water resistance capability and more.

Alongside the new iPhone models, Apple could also launch the successor to Watch Series 4 i.e., Apple Watch Series 5. The reports that surfaced earlier suggested that there could be Titanium and Ceramic variant of Watch Series 5 and is expected to sport an OLED display from Japan Display Inc.(JDI).

It is to be seen if Apple will also launch new iPad Pro models and larger MacBook Pro in the September event or hold a separate event at a later date. We should know more information in the coming days.

The Apple event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10 and starts at 10:00 am PT (10:30 PM IST) and happens at the Steve Jobs Theater located at the company’s new Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.  As usual, Apple will offer live stream.
