Google Wear OS H update with battery saver improvements, smart app resume and more announced

Google in recent times has pushed out several updates to Wear OS indicating that it hasn’t given up on the platform. However, the company has made few more changes and is now rolling out through the ‘H’ update. This update includes the battery saver improvements, improved off body efficiency, smart app resume for all apps and more.

The company says that this update extends your battery life even further by turning on Battery Saver to only display the time once your battery falls below 10%. Improved off body efficiency after 30 minutes of inactivity, your watch will go into deep sleep mode to conserve battery. Smart App Resume for all Apps can now easily pick up where you left off across all apps on your watch.

Two Step Power Off brings more way to turn off your smartwatch. You can now turn off your watch in two easy steps. To turn off your watch, simply hold the power button until you see the power off screen and then select ‘power off’ or ‘restart.’ This changelog indicates that Google, with this update, is focusing on improving power efficiency and features. Unlike the previous update, this will be a system OTA and might take a few weeks to months to reach every smartwatch.
