Samsung unveils ‘The Wall’ 146-inch modular MicroLED TV

The Wall

Samsung at the CES 2018 show introduced world’s first modular MicroLED 146-inch TV; ‘The Wall.’ It is the first modular self-emitting MicroLED 146″ TV display aimed at offering consumers an outstanding viewing experience.

The Wall 146-inch modular TV with MicroLED technology is capable of delivering incredible definition, without restrictions on size, resolution or form. It is a self-emitting TV with micrometer (µm) scale LEDs which are much smaller than current LEDs, and serve as their own source of light.

Samsung's The WallThe MicroLED technology eliminates the need for color filters or backlight, without compromising on the viewing experience. Also, the MicroLED screen excels in durability and effectiveness, including luminous efficiency, the light source lifetime and power consumption. It features a module-based bezel-less design. At the CES First Look event, Samsung also introduced Bixby integration which makes the communication easier between the TV and users.

With SmartThings Samsung’s IoT platform, the company is making it easier for sharing and connectivity. The Samsung TV-lineup is currently showcased at the CES event including the 8K-AI technology, 4K HDR Gaming, HDR10+, Smart TV experience and more.
