Moto X4 Android 8.0 Oreo update starts rolling out in India


Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the Moto X4 smartphone in India. The smartphone was launched in the country last month running Android 7.1 (Nougat) and the company confirmed the list of devices getting the Oreo back in September.

Android Oreo brings a lot of new features and improvements including  Notification channels, snooze notifications, Autofill APIs, Picture in Picture (PIP) display, Adaptive icons, Wide-gamut color for apps, Support for high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs such as LDAC codec, and much more.   • Android 8.0 Oreo: Many enhancements including new multitasking features, security capabilities, improved notifications and performance.
  • Android security: Includes the updates of Android security patches until December 1st, 2017.
  • Stability improvements: Includes changes that fix bugs and improve the stability of your phone.

The Moto X4 Android 8.0 Oreo update is 1.13GB in size, has build number OPW27.2, and comes with Android security patch for December, 2017. It is gradually roll out for all the users so it might take some time before it reaches everyone.
