Sony Xperia X Performance Android 8.0 Oreo update starts rolling out

Just as it promised, Sony is now rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update to Xperia X Performance two days after it pushed the update for Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs. The new update comes with a build number 41.3.A.0.401, and the update is live on both the single SIM (F8131) and dual-SIM (F8132) versions.

The new Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Xperia X Performance brings tons of new features and changes to the interface as well. The official changelog suggested features are reminders for unfinished tasks such as emails in drafts and messages, Xperia actions which intelligently suggests actions based on your usage with all new games and community features.

The update also adds support for App shortcuts with a contextual menu which on long-press shows a set of new shortcut tasks. Oreo features like the notification channels, improvements including Background limits, Snooze notifications, Picture in Picture (PIP) display, Adaptive icon and more will be available once you update the device.

As the update has just started rolling out, it might take few days time to reach globally. However, you can check for updates via System settings software update section. The Android 8.0 Oreo update size is around 1.25GB, and it also brings Android November security patch.
