Google announces new Daydream View VR headset for $99

Google has announced new Daydream View VR headset at the event. It can be paired with Pixel 2 or another Daydream-ready phones. The new Daydream View has high-performance lenses, which result in better image clarity and a wider field of view. 

It sports a premium two-tone fabric that makes the headset soft and light, and it comes in three new colors: Fog, Charcoal and Coral. The device comes with the same controller and basic features as the first Daydream View. It measures 6.6 x 4.6 x 3.9 inches and weighs in at 9.2 ounces.

The new headset sports a wider field of view than its predecessor It will also include a dedicated slot to house its controller and a removable head strap. Daydream-compatible phones include the newly announced Pixel 2, the older Pixel, the Galaxy S8, the S8+, the Note 8, the Moto Z, and the Moto Z2.

The new Daydream View headset is already available on the Google Store and will ship on October 17.
