Apple iMac Pro Hands On

Apple unveiled its top-end iMac Pro desktop PC at its WWDC 2017 annual developer’s conference this week. We managed to check it out. Here is the first look.

The iMac Pro has a 27-inch Retina 5K (5120 x 2880 pixels) display with support for 1 billion colors, 500 nits brightness, Wide color (P3), is powered by 8-Core, 10-Core or 18-Core Xeon processors with 8GB Radeon Pro Vega 56 GPU, configurable to 16GB Radeon Pro Vega GPU, has 32GB 2666MHz DDR4 ECC memory, which is configurable to 64GB or 128GB and has 1TB SSD, which is configurable to 2TB or 4TB.

It has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, supports Thunderbolt 3 digital video output and Native DisplayPort output over USB-C. It has stereo speakers, four microphones and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It has WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2.

It has all-flash architecture and all-new thermal design, and promises up to 80% more cooling capacity with the same thin and seamless iMac design.

The iMac Pro comes in Space Gray color with matching Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad and Magic Mouse 2 in the same Space Gray color. It will run macOS High Sierra.

It has 10Gb Ethernet port, Four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, Four USB 3 ports and SDXC card slot with support for UHS‑II on the back.

The Apple iMac Pro starts at US$ 4,999 (Rs. 3,21,635 approx.) and ships in December.
