Motorola launched Moto G5 in India today. It packs a 5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat). It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone comes in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 11,999. It will be available starting today midnight exclusively on

WhatsApp is planning to launch a peer-to-peer payment system in India that is likely to be powered by the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). It is WhatsApp is hiring a head of digital transactions specializing in UPI, Aadhaar and BHIM payment.

Micromax launched Bharat 2, the company’s latest budget smartphone with 4G VoLTE support in the new Bharat series is now available from offline retail stores. It packs a 4-inch WVGA screen, is powered by a quad-core processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It comes in Gold color and is priced at Rs. 3499, however the MRP on the box is Rs. 3,750.

Android has overtaken Windows in terms of total internet usage across desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile combined. Android topped the worldwide OS internet usage market share with 37.93%, which puts it marginally ahead of Windows  (37.91%) for the first time.
