Android Nougat running on mere 1.2% devices, Marshmallow adoption at 30.7%

Google is out with its monthly Android distribution chart for the month of February. Android Nougat has finally crossed 1 percent mark nearly six months after its release. Nougat is present on just 1.2 percent of android devices of which only 0.9 percent of devices run Nougat 7.0 while Nougat 7.1 runs only on 0.3 percent of devices. The Nougat adoption has been increased by only 0.5 percent.

Android Marshmallow still has a larger presence and is present on over 30.7 percent devices, up from 29.6 percent. Lollipop (5.0/5.1) adoption has decreased to 32.9 percent from 33.4 percent since last month while KitKat (4.4) is also down from 22.6 percent to 21.9 percent. Jelly Bean (Android 4.1-4.3) claimed 11.3 percent down from 11.6 percent. Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread each are present on 1 percent of devices.
