OPPO had announced its flagship R9s smartphone in October last year. We have got our hands on the phone, so let’s take a detailed look at the hardware and specifications of the phone in this photo gallery.
The OPPO R9s 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.
Running Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ColorOS 3.0, the phone comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD through hybrid slot.
The earpiece and 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens are present at the top.
A physical home button is present below the display which comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
Volume rockers are present on the left side of the phone while the power button is on the right.
The phone is sleek and narrow bezels on the side while big bezels on top and bottom. It measures 153×74.3×6.58mm and weighs 145 grams.
The 3.5mm audio headphone jack, micro USB port and loudspeaker grill are present at the bottom.
The phone sports a 16-megapixel camera on the back with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor, 6P lens, EIS, LED Flash and supports 4K video recording. OPPO branding is present at the center.
Antenna band lines are present at the lower rear back. Connectivity options on the phone included 4G VoLTE,dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It comes with a 3010mAh built-in battery with VOOC Flash Charge.
The OPPO R9s comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Black colors and costs 2799 yuan (US$ 406 / Rs. 27430 approx.) in China.
